This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of BUSH'S® Beans. All opinions are 100% mine.
Try my easy Ground Beef and Bean Southwestern Tacos made with BUSH'S Southwestern Style Pinto Beans™. Perfect for a simple dinner and made with pantry ingredients I already had on hand!
I'd be the first to hold up my hands and admit defeat when it comes to kitchen organization, especially the pantry. I feel like between throwing ingredients away because they may be past their expiration date or having multiple open bags of the same thing, I could be doing a better job.
I know there's a few ingredients that I can always rely on to be in the pantry even though I don't actively recall buying them to be in the pantry, things like pasta, flour, soup and beans. These are the foundations to some of the best and tastiest recipes you can knock out for dinner.
Check out these helpful tips for keeping your pantry in order.
I like using plastic or rectangle containers, they're much easier to fit in the pantry and maximize space. Think like Tetris!
Try and condense ingredients such as open boxes of pasta. It can be fun to cook multiple shapes for dinner.
Label as much as you can and tag the contents with a marker. You'll save so much time when you need that small jar of cumin that you know you have but can't find it for 10 minutes.
Things you use almost every day should be at eye level and at the front.
Kids snacks at the bottom of the pantry for easy grabbing!
Big boxes with tiny amounts in them? Ziplock bags can be your best friend.
I was lucky enough to find some ground beef in the fridge and tacos are always a winner with the family, and not just on a Tuesday! Having some BUSH'S Southwestern Style Pinto Beans in the pantry set the direction for dinner. BUSH'S® Beanshave lots of other great flavors of savory beans such as New Orleans Style Red Beans and Southern Style White Beans so you'll be spoiled for choice and won't be short on ideas of what to make!
From the list of ingredients for this recipe, I already had half of them in the pantry! That's helpful when it comes to saving time and money by not trying to find time in these busy days to hit the store. And after cooking the ground beef which turned out to be the longest part, these tacos came together in less than 30 minutes. The BUSH'S Southwestern Style Pinto Beans tasted amazing with the spiced ground beef and don't forget the huge protein boost you get with beans.
Let me know how you manage your pantry. I'd love to be able to share even more tips and tricks!
